# Appeeky Analytics

> Mobile app analytics that ties every sale to the source of the install that made it

Appeeky Analytics is mobile app analytics for React Native and Expo apps. A small SDK records installs, sessions, screens and your own events. Purchase events from RevenueCat add trials, purchases, renewals and refunds. Each sale is matched to the install that made it, so you can see which source earns money:

* Apple Search Ads, down to the campaign and keyword
* a smart link or campaign link you shared
* the Google Play install referrer
* organic store traffic

***

## What This Answers

* Which install source brings paying users, not just installs?
* Which Apple Search Ads keywords earn back their spend?
* How much does an install from each source or campaign earn within 1, 7 and 30 days?
* Where do users drop off between first open, paywall, trial and purchase?
* Which screens did buyers see before they paid?
* How many users come back on later days or weeks?

## What You Get

| Feature | What it does |
| - | - |
| Dashboard | Installs, active users, revenue, install → paid conversion, revenue per user and average session time, each compared with the previous period. A daily or hourly chart and live online users. |
| Breakdowns | Ranked tables by source, campaign, Apple Search Ads keyword, country, device, app version, screen, entry screen and exit screen, each with the revenue it led to. Any row can filter the whole dashboard. |
| Funnel | An ordered funnel you define, for example first open → paywall → trial → paid. |
| Retention | Daily or weekly install cohorts. |
| LTV | Revenue within 1, 7 and 30 days of install, per install, by any acquisition or audience dimension. |
| ROAS | Apple Search Ads spend next to the revenue the SDK attributed, by campaign or keyword. |
| Smart links | One link per campaign that sends each visitor to the right store, with exact install attribution and deferred deep links on Android. |
| SKAdNetwork | Copies of SKAdNetwork and AdAttributionKit postbacks by ad network and campaign, with the conversion values the SDK writes. |
| Sale alerts | A Telegram message for each new sale with its source and the screens the buyer saw before paying. |

Days and hours follow the app's own time zone.

## How It Works

**1. Turn on Analytics for an app**

Appeeky creates the app in the analytics service and gives you a publishable key (`apk_pub_…`).

**2. Add the SDK**

The SDK sends installs, sessions, screens and events in batches to `https://ingest.appeeky.com/v1/ingest`. On first launch it collects the install's attribution once.

**3. Link installs to RevenueCat**

Call `Appeeky.identify()` with the RevenueCat app user id. RevenueCat events that already reach Appeeky are then matched to the install that made them.

**4. Read the results**

Use the dashboard in Appeeky, or read the same data from the [Analytics API](https://docs.appeeky.com/docs/analytics-api.md).

## Hosted and Self-Hosted

| | Hosted (Appeeky) | Self-hosted |
| - | - | - |
| Where it runs | Appeeky's service at `https://ingest.appeeky.com` | Your own Cloudflare account (Workers and D1) |
| Setup | Turn on Analytics for an app in Appeeky | Deploy the server, create apps with the admin API |
| RevenueCat | Uses the RevenueCat webhook you already connected in Appeeky | You add a webhook in RevenueCat that points to your server |
| Sale alerts | Appeeky Alerts Telegram bot | Your own Telegram bot |
| ROAS with Apple Search Ads spend | Yes, with Apple Search Ads connected in Appeeky | No |

The hosted service runs the same API as the self-hosted server. Each Appeeky account gets its own isolated database with the same schema, so both behave the same way. See [Self-Hosting](https://docs.appeeky.com/docs/analytics-self-hosting.md).

## Platform Support

* The SDK is for **React Native and Expo**.
* Apple Search Ads attribution, SKAdNetwork conversion values and the Play Install Referrer need the SDK's native module. It is included, but it needs a development build: it does not run in Expo Go or in a plain React Native app without Expo Modules. Without it, the SDK still records events, and those features turn off.
* Revenue comes from **RevenueCat** and from ad revenue you report with `adRevenue()`.
