# Users & Live Activity

> See who is in your app right now, list every install with its source and revenue, and open one user's full timeline

The **Users** view in the app's **Attribution** tab shows individual installs instead of totals: who is in the app right now, where each install came from, and everything one user did, from the first open to the last purchase.

***

## Live

The strip at the top refreshes every 15 seconds while the page is open.

| Tile | What it shows |
| - | - |
| Online now | Installs with a session active in the last 5 minutes |
| Top countries now | Online installs by country. **Live** opens the [live globe](https://docs.appeeky.com/docs/analytics-overview.md#live-globe). |
| Recent activity | The last 30 events: time, event type, user, name and place |

***

## Users Table

One row per install, newest first. The range (Today, 7d, 30d) and any filters you set on the Overview (source, campaign, country, ...) apply here too.

| Column | Content |
| - | - |
| User | A generated avatar and name for the install (for example "Calm Badger"), and when it was last seen |
| Location | City and country of the install, with region below |
| Device | Platform and device model |
| Source | Apple Search Ads, smart link, Google Play referrer, organic, ... See [Attribution](https://docs.appeeky.com/docs/analytics-attribution.md). |
| Proceeds | USD revenue linked to the install, net of refunds |
| Last 7 days | One square per day, darker on days with more events |
| Status | **Free**, **Trial**, **Paid** or **Refunded** |

Use the status filter to show only trials, paying users or refunds. **Load more** fetches the next 50.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Revenue and status need the purchase to be linked to the install. Call `Appeeky.identify` with the same app user id you give RevenueCat or Superwall.

***

## User Timeline

Click a row to open the user's timeline:

* **Attribution**: source, campaign, country, device, first and last seen, and every attribution value recorded for the install (Apple Search Ads ids, `utm_*` values, link slug).
* **Smart link and click**: the link that brought the install, its channel and external id, and the click itself (time, click id, and `ttclid`, `fbclid`, `gclid`, `gbraid` or `wbraid` when the ad network added one).
* **Events**: installs, sessions, screens, custom events and sales in order, oldest first, with the amount of each sale. Up to 500 events are shown.

## API

The same data is available with your Appeeky API key. All routes take `range` (`today`, `7d`, `30d`) and `filter` like the [dashboard views](https://docs.appeeky.com/docs/analytics-api.md#query-parameters).

| Method | Path | Returns |
| - | - | - |
| `GET` | `/v1/analytics/apps/:appId/users` | `{ users, nextCursor }`. Also takes `status` (`all`, `trial`, `paid`, `refunded`), `cursor` and `limit` (max 100). |
| `GET` | `/v1/analytics/apps/:appId/users/:installId` | `{ user, attribution, link, click, events }` |
| `GET` | `/v1/analytics/apps/:appId/live` | `{ online, countries, recent, points }`. `points` are the places with installs active in the last 30 minutes: `lat`, `lon` (rounded to about 10 km), `country`, `city`, `online` (last 5 minutes), `lastAt`, `alias`, `lastEvent`. |

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
curl "https://api.appeeky.com/v1/analytics/apps/YOUR_APP_ID/users?range=7d&status=paid" \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_APPEEKY_KEY"
```

```json theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
{
  "data": {
    "users": [
      {
        "installId": "c1f6e0e2-...",
        "appUserId": "$RCAnonymousID:8a1f...",
        "firstSeenAt": "2026-10-22T09:14:03.000Z",
        "lastSeenAt": "2026-10-24T18:02:51.000Z",
        "source": "apple_search_ads",
        "campaign": "542370539",
        "country": "US",
        "region": "California",
        "city": "San Francisco",
        "platform": "ios",
        "deviceModel": "iPhone16,2",
        "sessions": 7,
        "revenueUsd": 39.99,
        "status": "paid",
        "alias": "Calm Badger",
        "activity7d": [0, 3, 12, 0, 5, 8, 2]
      }
    ],
    "nextCursor": "eyJ0IjoiMjAyNi0xMC0yMlQwOToxNDowMy4wMDBaIn0"
  }
}
```

Pass `nextCursor` as `cursor` to get the next page. It is `null` on the last page.

`alias` is the install's generated name. `activity7d` counts events per day in the app's time zone for the last 7 days, oldest first, today last.

The co-founder chat and the Appeeky MCP server can read the same data: ask about recent paying users or one user's journey, or use the `analytics_users` and `analytics_user_timeline` MCP tools.
