# UGC Overview

> AI creators that make short, on-brand videos for your app, from first look to an approved clip ready to post.

**UGC** gives your app its own recurring AI creators. Each creator (a *persona*) keeps the same face, voice and habits from clip to clip. You write what they say, Appeeky renders a short vertical video, and nothing goes out until you approve it.

## How it works

1. **Create a creator.** Start from a ready-made creator in the library or describe your own. Lock the details that must never change, like face, hair and signature details.
2. **Pick a look.** Generate candidate photos and pin the ones that show the same face. Every clip is generated from them.
3. **Make content.** Write a short line and a scene for a quick talking clip, or build a longer edit in **Studio**.
4. **Review.** Finished clips land as *Ready for review*. Run through the checklist, then approve or reject.
5. **Post.** Schedule an approved clip to your connected TikTok or Instagram account, or post it right away.

Everything you generate is saved to your media **Library**, in a **UGC** folder with one subfolder per creator.

Your Co-founder can also write new episodes for your active creators. You approve the idea first, and then the rendered clip, before anything is scheduled.

## Media credits

All UGC generation spends media credits. **1 credit ≈ \$0.01.** Each model has its own price, and you see the cost before you generate.

* Your monthly allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Unused allowance doesn't carry over.
* **Top-up credits** never expire. Your monthly allowance is spent first, then top-ups.
* When both run out, the missing credits are bought from your prepaid balance at \$0.01 per credit. Turn this off with the **UGC media** switch in **Settings → Billing**.
* Credits are held when a job starts and charged when it finishes. If a job fails, the hold is refunded.

Allowances may change while UGC is in beta.
